South Bowie Boys and Girls Club
The South Bowie Boys and Girls Club (SBBGC) was established in 1974 and currently has nearly 3,000 children that play sports for the Club annually. The ages of our members range from 5 to 18 years old and who play numerous sports including: baseball, basketball, cheerleading, football, softball, soccer, rugby, T-ball, and wrestling at various skill levels.
SBBGC is governed by the Mission of the organization and a Board of Directors that oversees all of the Club’s activities and gives strategic direction to its growth, use and financial stability.
The organizational structure of the Club is designed to capture both board and non-board members input through the use of several committees that are charged with specific responsibilities to maintain the expertise needed to solve the day-to-day issues of the Club. Effectiveness and communication are open to all that have a sincere interest in giving back to the children in the community. As implied by the club name, SBBGC primarily serves the South Bowie community.
SBBGC Area of Operation
If you live in an area within Prince George's County, and your Prince Georges County Boys and Girls Club (PGCBGC) does not provide a sport that SBBGC does, you may register and participate within SBBGC.
